Let one of our naturalists take you on an outdoor adventure where they will teach you how to be good stewards of South Florida’s ecosystem and natural areas.

They Have a Camp for That!

Give your child the chance to explore the wild side of parks in our
nature-based camps, which are packed with fun and educational
programming. Nature campers, ages 6-14, will perform scientific
experiments, go on environmental field trips, and engage in athletic
activities in the great outdoors! 

Under the supervision of Park naturalists, Summer Nature Camps are
hosted at A.D. Barnes Nature Center and Greynolds Park Boat House.

Adventure Camp A. D. Barnes Park Nature Center –

Learn valuable information about fish such as their biology and identification, various fishing techniques, and boat navigation during this week-long camp. Campers, ages 10-15, leave Fishing Camp with an appreciation for the sport of fishing, as well as the knowledge required for ethical angling. Fishing gear is provided for all participants to keep, and at the end of the week there will be a Friday Fish Fry. $160/week; $144/sibling per week.

Fishing Camp-Tropical Park

This new nature camp brings together both the aquatic and the terrestrial side of South Florida Ecology. Campers, ages 9-15, will learn about coastal waters, mangroves and coral reefs through adventures such as snorkeling, kayaking, and hiking through nature preserves, including a swamp tromp (slough slog) through Big Cypress National Preserve. $160/week; $144/sibling per week.
